Robert Langmead believes that individuals and businesses have a responsibility to the wider community. This is evident through Robert’s personal charitable support and through the corporate social responsibility of his businesses.
Robert has personally championed these charitable organisations:
Dementia Support
Dementia Support is a community-focused charity that collaborates with various voluntary and charitable organisations to establish a distinctive hub dedicated to dementia care, aimed at significantly improving the well-being and quality of life for individuals living with dementia, along with their families and caregivers. Robert is a member of the Dementia Support Influencers Circle, and has previously acted as Chair of the Dementia Support Fundraising Advisory Board.
South Downs National Park Trust
The South Downs National Park Trust aims to protect wildlife, preserve habitats, and improve access to South Downs National Park. Committed to enhancing grasslands, heathlands, and woodlands, the Trust also supports walking and cycling routes, outdoor education, and park volunteers. Through its efforts, it raises awareness of the park’s beauty and its health benefits. Robert is a donor to the Trust.
Restless Development
Restless Development is a global charity empowering youth to tackle pressing challenges like child marriage and HIV. Robert focuses on three projects:
- Dynamic in Uganda – Supports disadvantaged youth (15-24) in creating sustainable economic opportunities through agribusiness and micro-enterprises.
- Girls 2030 – Establishes career clubs and skill camps for secondary school girls, helping them with future career planning.
- Anakazi Leaders in Zambia – Enhances young women’s leadership and business opportunities, training over 400 women (18-30) in critical skills and advocating for workplace equality.
Robert’s businesses have provided vital support to various charitable organisations:
Teenage Cancer Trust
Teenage Cancer Trust is Natures Way Foods’ chosen charity, funding expert staff in collaboration with University Hospitals Southampton NHS Trust to ensure young cancer patients receive top quality care. Natures Way Foods matches donations (every £30 funds an hour of nursing support) and organises local events for young people.
FareShare
FareShare transforms surplus food into nutritious meals for vulnerable populations, supporting care homes, school breakfast clubs, community cafes, hospices, and homeless shelters to combat hunger and reduce food waste. Natures Way Foods supplies discontinued items and excess goods nearing expiration.
Chichester District Foodbank
Chichester District Foodbank, part of the Trussell Trust network, provides emergency food and essentials to combat local food poverty and hunger, aiming to reduce future reliance on foodbanks. Kingsbridge is committed to helping the Foodbank and is targeting to raise £10,000 for the charity during its 20th anniversary year.
One Million Mentors
Members of the Kingsbridge team provide mentoring support via the One Million Mentors scheme. The programme connects one million young people with transformative opportunities through personalised mentoring, enhancing their career prospects and community resilience by expanding their knowledge, networks, skills, and confidence.
Surfers Against Sewage
Surfers Against Sewage is a collective of ocean advocates committed to protecting marine environments and all that they support, launching grassroots initiatives that inspire significant change, from local beach clean-ups to influential policy reform. The Kingsbridge team organises regular beach cleans in local coastal areas.
