Robert has established several successful businesses, including leading food manufacturer Natures Way Foods and award winning property developer, Kingsbridge.
Founded in 1994 by brothers Robert and David Langmead, Natures Way Foods started as a small facility, supplying bagged salads to Tesco during the early stages of prepared produce. Their goal was to merge the freshest locally sourced lettuce with advanced food manufacturing techniques.
Under Robert’s leadership the company thrived doubling in size annually for its initial four years. Within five years, the company had become a trusted supplier to major retailers including Tesco, Morrisons and McDonalds.
Today, Natures Way Foods now employs 1,500 staff and operates across its four manufacturing units with an annual revenue of £250m.
In November 2025, Robert and David Langmead made the significant decision to sell Natures Way Foods to the family owned and run business Taylor Fresh Foods.
The Langmead brothers have always been committed to securing the best possible future for Natures Way Foods, its people, and its partners. The family-to-family nature of this transition was an important factor in the decision, ensuring Natures Way Foods continues under ownership that shares similar values and long-term vision.
They stated, “It has been a joy to build this business over 31 years, but we realise that the time has come to pass the reins on to ensure Natures Way Foods’ continued success. We couldn’t have done this without our incredible team and extend warm thanks to the many colleagues who have worked alongside us on this journey. The future of Natures Way Foods is safe in their hands”.
Robert Langmead began investing in property in 1991.
